Your animal's portrait
A portrait in my visual language: black and white, reduced, with a gaze that touches. Just like the sheep and the tortoise, both of which have won international awards, I portray your dog, your cat, your horse or your farm animal.
How your portrait is made
- Getting to know each other: We discuss your wishes, the location and the finish you would like.
- Shoot: I photograph outdoors in natural light, ideally in an open field, but also at any other place that suits your animal. Natural light looks more alive than any studio light. For indoor cats and other animals that don't go outside, the shoot can also take place indoors.
- Selection: Together we review the images and shortlist a few candidates. From these I choose the image that is strongest in expression, light and quality.
- Editing: Over one to two weeks, the finished portrait takes shape in my digital darkroom. I let each image rest in between and return with fresh eyes until I am truly satisfied.
- Approval: You first receive the portrait digitally. Production only starts once you approve it.
- Production: Depending on the finish, production takes one to three weeks. Frame colour and style can be agreed individually.
Allow about four to six weeks from the shoot to the finished picture.

All packages include the shoot, joint selection, editing and the finished print with a signed certificate. Your portrait is unique and is not sold as an edition.
Travel within 50 km driving distance of Gauting is included. Beyond that, I charge €1.50 per additional kilometre. A deposit of 30% is due at the shoot.
A portrait also makes a special gift: I am happy to issue a gift voucher.
